        W         ith a location right on Interstate 75, Byron

                  is a great place to begin your explorations
                  throughout the region, to Fort Valley,
        Warner Robins, Perry, Macon, and beyond.

           FORT VALLEY
          Stroll the brick walkways at Massee Lane Gardens,
        headquarters of the American Camellia Society. Not
        camellia season? There is always something blooming
        here. Then visit Lane Southern Orchards and Pearson
        Farm where you can fill your basket with fresh, seasonal
        produce, including succulent peaches and sweet
        pecans. Enjoy farm and packing house tours in season.
          Want to see how people lived in the 19th century?
        Visit Anderson House, Fort Valley State University’s
        oldest building, which contains the Biggs Collection
                               of period furnishings,
                               silver, glassware, china,
                               quilts, linens and Civil War
                               memorabilia. Also see the
                               1855 Greek Revival-style
                               Troutman House, now
                               the Welcome Center for
         Massee Lane Gardens
                              Peach County.
