Clarke County Health Department
The Northeast Health District is
comprised of 18 clinics within a 10-county
region including Clarke County. The Clarke
County Health Department offers a
variety of medical services available for
free or at a low cost: Family Planning,
Immunizations, HIV/AIDS treatment, and
Teen Matters, among others, help promote
healthy lifestyles among community
members. For the Northeast Health District,
the health department is the registrar of
vital records (birth/death certificates) for
Clarke, Morgan, and Walton counties.

Clarke County Environmental
Health services oversees the food
service program, in addition to permits
and inspections for hotels/motels and
campgrounds, public swimming areas,
tattoo and piercing establishments,
and sewage/septic systems. Restaurant
