ENTREPRENEURSHIP
MEDC will reach out to public/private/charter K-12 schools
and local colleges and universities to identify opportunities
for business leaders to serve as speakers, instructors and
mentors within the school’s entrepreneurial course
offerings. We will strengthen partnerships with Mercer
Innovation Center, Spark Macon and others to cultivate a
culture that embraces, nurtures and celebrates
entrepreneurs.
TALENT RETENTION & RECRUITMENT
MEDC will continue to implement strategies and plans for
the recruitment and retention of talent. We will enhance
our Young Professionals Network by increasing membership
and improving the types of programs offered, while
fostering professional development and engagement.
WORKFORCE READINESS
MEDC will work with education partners to ensure the
pipeline of talent is ready to meet the needs of our growing
business community. MEDC has taken the lead on matching
business and industry with our career academy, colleges
and universities to advance apprenticeship and internship
programs.
