Centers provide high quality, affordable
healthcare to all individuals in Athens-
Clarke County and surrounding areas.
The ANHC is a Federally Qualified
Health Center and specializes in family
medicine and pediatric care, while
annually reviewing the evolving needs
of the community.

Mercy Health Center
Mercy Health Center provides free
medical, dental, counseling, and health
education services for the uninsured
of Clarke, Barrow, Jackson, Madison,
Oconee, and Oglethorpe counties. Mercy
performed nearly 4,000 patient visits in
2024 with the help of 150+ volunteers,
including physicians, dentists, nurses,
and students. Mercy Health Center has
provided whole-person healthcare in a
Christ-centered environment for more
than two decades.

Clarke County Health Department
The Northeast Health District operates
18 clinics in a 10-county area that
includes Clarke County. The Clarke
County Health Department offers
a variety of services that support
the health of community members,
including family planning, WIC nutrition
program for children and pregnant
women, immunizations for children
and adults, testing and treatment for
HIV, tuberculosis, and other infections,
screenings for breast and cervical
cancer, blood pressure monitoring
and treatment, and health education
