Augusta is inviting and filled with unique experiences. You’re sure to meet
some great folks and make wonderful memories along the way.
As host to The Masters®, Augusta welcomes the world to its front porch every
year, but Augusta also offers a full schedule of events to enjoy year round.
Augusta is home to the world’s largest Half Ironman Triathlon, welcoming
more than 3,000 triathletes each year and their families and spectators.
Triathletes break world records during the 1.2 mile swim in the Savannah
River, the 56 mile bike ride and the 13.1 run through downtown Augusta.
The annual Arts in the Heart Festival of Augusta is a weekend long festival
celebrating the arts, culture and diversity that make Augusta such a vibrant
place. It also offers a Global Village featuring ethnic food from around the
world, cooked and served by local ethnic associations. This festival earned
the Bronze Award for Best Festival of 2014 from the Southeast Festival and
Event Association.
