In the city of Georgetown, CCU’s Education Center at 909 Front St.
provides a home for two of the University’s research vessels. This center,
which focuses on the estuarine environment of Winyah Bay, also acts as
an educational outreach center.

Coastal Carolina University is accredited by the Southern Association of
Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award the
baccalaureate, master’s and doctoral degrees.

HORRY GEORGETOWN TECHNICAL COLLEGE

Horry Georgetown Technical College is an all-encompassing technical/
community college with an annual curriculum enrollment of more than 7,000
students. HGTC offers more than 90 associate degree, diploma and certificate
programs in a variety of career and academic fields, many of which will
transfer completely or in part to four-year colleges and universities. HGTC
also provides customized training and personal interest classes for thousands
of area residents every year through Workforce Development and Continuing
Education programs.
