And if you’re not quite ready to go it alone, there is a
small but dedicated and growing group of local riders
happy to share what they have known for a long time:
Kershaw County is truly a bicycling paradise.
“Camden and the county are great for cycling,” said
Dana Morris, who has been riding here and in the
Midlands since the late 1980s. “There are so many
options for all experience levels -- a wide variety of
terrains and not a lot of traffic.”
Fellow cyclists Bob Giangiorgi and Frankie Sheheen
also appreciate the array of landscapes.
“We are very blessed with what we have around
here,” Giangiorgi said. “We have flats to the south
and hills to the north -- and some of them are
pretty challenging. If you ride the loop around the
