       In a dozen odd bands                                    The  words  sum  up  the  ongoing  musical  history
                                                               of the Camden native who, when not laying some
                    -- by Elton John and Bernie Taupin for
    S                                                          preparing to play a show -- either solo, with his or
                                                               guitar knowledge on a pupil in his shop, is probably
        Elton John’s 1971 album Madman Across the Water
       Sitting  inside  his  Davis  and  Sons  Guitar  Shop,  a friend’s band or providing the lead guitar riffs for
       nestled  on  a  corner  at  953  Broad  Street,  Rusty  his son’s touring ensemble, Patrick Davis and His
       Davis laughs when asked if he could estimate how  Midnight Choir. One might say that Rusty Davis’
       many gigs he has played. Without missing a beat  searing  licks  have  helped  provide  a  backdrop  for
       -- naturally -- the Camden guitar legend answers  Camden’s vibrant music scene.
