Clemson University Campus
Anderson, Oconee and Pickens counties
form the heart of South Carolina’s Upstate,
where education, healthcare, finance
and transportation industries work hand
in hand to drive regional growth. Clemson
University, Southern Wesleyan University
and Tri-County Technical College nearby
ensure a competitive workforce for the
Clemson Area. This is the talent that revived
manufacturing across both South Carolina
and the U.S., attracting major manufacturing
firms to set up operations here.
At the Chamber’s Annual 2025 State of
Clemson event, Clemson University President
Jim Clements highlighted the university’s
growth, saying “We have built a national
championship culture across the university.
It’s not just in athletics – it’s academics,
research, student life, our facilities and so
many other areas. Our culture reflects our
university values.”
Entrepreneur Support
The Clemson Area Chamber is supported
by networks and university affiliations to
bolster entrepreneurism. The Brook T.
Smith Launchpad is Clemson University’s
entrepreneurial support hub in downtown
Clemson. It is designed to help any
entrepreneur in the community, students,
faculty and staff. The Launchpad fosters
collaborations, content and helps create
companies that will impact Clemson and the
CLEMSON CLOCKS
world. More info:
