CHATTAHOOCHEE VALLEY LIBRARIES
The Chattahoochee Valley Libraries serve 250,000 people across
four counties – Chattahoochee, Marion, Muscogee, and Stewart.
The library system’s seven branches are owned and operated by
the Muscogee County School System. In addition to traditional
services, the libraries provide access to computers and Internet,
bookmobiles, meeting rooms, computer labs and study areas,
classes and activities, and many other services.
Completed in 2005, the Columbus Public Library is one of the
“10 Most Beautiful Libraries in Georgia” according to the Georgia
Public Library Service. It’s the second largest library in in the state,
spanning 100,000 square feet, and features a Grand Reading
Room, an outdoor garden, and a story time space where children
can participate in many activities.
