Art Galleries presents a number

Owens Art Gallery, which is located
on the third floor of the Hoag           Taste Testing at Local Wineries
Student Center on the Dahlonega
campus. Annual exhibits include
the “Hal B. Rhodes Student
Exhibition,” and “Appalachia Here
and Now.” The “Senior Exhibition
Series” is presented in the Library
Technology Center, and the juried
exhibition “Georgia Art Educators
and Their Students” is held
annually in Price Memorial Hall.
Community members are invited
to join students and faculty for
receptions, artist talks, lectures, and

	 The College of Arts and
Letters at the University of North
Georgia provides academic and
studio instruction in visual arts,
music, and performing arts. It
also provides opportunities for
the student body, the academic
community, and the public
to experience the arts through
performances, exhibitions, and
workshops. Students and faculty
at the university regularly present
performances and exhibitions
in music, theatre, and art,
contributing to Dahlonega’s
culturally rich atmosphere.

	 Dahlonega’s gorgeous natural
environment makes it a perfect spot
for all kinds of outdoor recreation.
Hiking, tubing, cycling, fishing,
and canoeing are popular outdoor
sports here. Visiting one of the
local wildlife preserves is a great
way to learn about and get close
to animals that would otherwise
be elusive. To really feel like a kid
again, try finding your way out of
an old-fashioned corn maze – a
country pleasure like no other.
