QUALITY OF LIFE

          Dunwoody supports the visual
        arts with the nonprofit Dunwoody
Fine Art Association. The group was
established in 1971 and includes artists
        from Dunwoody and the surrounding
area working in a variety of subjects,
        styles, and media. Members support
each other and exhibit their artwork
        in venues throughout the area,
promoting the message to buy local.

This past spring, the nonprofit Spruill
Center for the Arts, in partnership
with the City of Dunwoody, opened
        its 7,000-square-foot addition to the
        Dunwoody Cultural Arts Center. This
provides seven new art studios and a
        community room, and a redesigned
        courtyard/pocket park. New studios
        include ceramics, glass, blacksmithing,
and wood turning arts. The Center
offers adult art classes and workshops,
children and teen classes and camps,
and rental space for events such as
        parties, weddings, corporate retreats, and
        community meetings.
