This three-building complex, an annex of the North Carolina
Museum of History, includes three facilities. The museum
building tells the region’s history from Native American times
through the turn of the early 20th century. The 1897 Poe
House interprets life at the turn of the 20th century. Arsenal
Park houses the remains of the Fayetteville Arsenal,
a key Civil War site destroyed in 1865 by
General Sherman.
