VOTING
You must be registered to vote in
Richmond County. The cut-off for registering
is 25 days before the election. Town elections
are held during odd years. County, state and
national elections are held during even years.
Residents may register to vote at the DMV,
Library, or Richmond County Board of
Elections office. For more information, call

LICENSES &
REGISTRATIONS
Driver’s License
All new resident drivers have 60 days upon
establishing residence to get a North Carolina
driver’s license. Licenses may be secured at the
Division of Motor Vehicles. You must bring
four types of documentation to the DMV to
apply for a license: proof of age and identity,
proof of Social Security number, proof
of residency, and proof of liability.
