there will plenty of things to see and do, lots of choices
for shopping and dining and no end to the fun and
friendly faces you’ll meet along the way. When you’re
trying to decide where to land during your visit, check

of Lake Lanier like a local.
Oakwood
In the center of it all lies the quiet town
of Oakwood, home to the University
of North Georgia and nearby Michelin
Raceway Road Atlanta. Trek along the
Mundy Mill Road corridor to find local
eateries and specialty shops including
Nest Feathers. The City Park hosts annual
events including a community Christmas
that sparks memories of days gone by with
marshmallow roasting, carol singers and of
course Old St. Nick. Cool off with a dip in
the community pool during the summer for Larry’s Lemonade at Cotton Calf
only $3 per person.
