 Belle Meade Hunt
Opening Meet
Belle Meade Hunt’s Opening Meet
is billed as the World’s Largest Rolling
Tailgate Party™. On the first Saturday in
November, visitors flock to McDuffie
County to experience horses, hounds,
fellowship, and sport in our beautiful
hunt country in historic Wrightsboro.

English-themed fox hunt, this is

 Camellia City Festival
The Camellia City Festival features
Christmas magic in downtown Thomson.
The Thomson-McDuffie Chamber
welcomes you to come out and visit all
the local merchants as you begin your
Christmas shopping and dining. This
event takes place the first weekend
of December with multiple activities
happening all around McDuffie County.

 Freedom Blast
The Thomson-McDuffie Chamber
of Commerce along with the City
of Thomson hosts the fireworks
show “Freedom Blast” to celebrate
Independence Day on the front lawn
of the Thomson-McDuffie County
Government Complex. The event begins
at 7 p.m. with games and activities
for the whole family. Several different
vendors sell barbecue, ice cream,
hamburgers, hot dogs, and more.

Following the recognition of our
patriots, the fireworks begin. For more
information on Freedom Blast, please
contact the Thomson-McDuffie
County Chamber of Commerce.

for dates other than July 4, please
