Nacoochee Mound


                                                                                    Cleveland (Population 3,976)
                                                                                  Cleveland, the county seat, was named
                                                                                for Gen. Benjamin Cleveland, a settler and
                                                                                veteran of the War of 1812. Nearly 4,000
                                                                                residents now call Cleveland home.
                                                                                  The heart of the city beats in the town
                                                                                square, crowned by the old courthouse-
                                                                                turned-museum which was built in 1859-
                                                                                1860. In the town square today, residents and
                                                                                visitors alike can enjoy various restaurants,
                                                                                cafes and one-of-a-kind shopping from
                                                                                antiques to boutiques.
