BABA McCAFFREY
Over the past 37 years, Baba McCaffrey has been consistently recognized as one of the leading
agents in the sale of residential property connected with Sea Island. Prior to joining Al Brown
Company, Baba was a sales agent and perennial leading producer for Sea Island Properties for 20
years. She was the selling agent in the second largest residential transaction to be closed in Sea
Island’s history.
Baba was born in Jacksonville, Florida, attended Mercer University, and has been a resident
of St. Simons Island for 55 years. She and her husband Albert have 18 grandchildren and attend
St. Simons Presbyterian Church.
JUDY SCARLETT
Judy Scarlett serves as Al Brown Company’s Executive Assistant. She earned her Real Estate
license in 2000 and prior to joining Al Brown Company sold real estate in the Golden Isles.
Judy attended Young Harris College and graduated from Valdosta State University with a
Bachelor of Fine Arts. She has been a resident of St. Simons Island for 32 years. Judy is a member
of St. Simons Presbyterian Church where she has taught Sunday School and is an Elder. She is
married to Judge Stephen Scarlett and they have two grown children.
JORDAN BROWN
The Jordan Brown is native of St. Simons Island, and daughter of Al and Gayle Brown. She attended
Al Brown Company the College of Charleston in Charleston, S.C. where she earned a BS degree in Accounting, and
lived in San Diego, CA working in the finance field. She ventured back to island life and has rejoined
Team Al Brown Company to manage and oversee the activities of the ABCo Initiative, a philanthropic
division of Al Brown Company to aid local organizations helping those in need in the community.
Jordan’s heart for serving, her passion, skills and enjoyment of helping others makes her the perfect
person to take on this important initiative. Jordan enjoys fishing, going to the beach, spending time
with her black lab (Hilton), making jewelry, reading, doing puzzles, and spending time with family.
ROB KJELLANDER
Rob Kjellander founded Cottage Concierge in 2013 after a decade as a vacation property owner
on St. Simons Island. He was born in the Midwest, but vacationed in the area since childhood
and has a deep appreciation for the natural splendor and traditions of Sea Island. Rob has dual
degrees from Southern Methodist University in Real Estate Finance and Organizational Behavior
& Business Policy. Prior to Cottage Concierge, he spent 12 years in commercial real estate banking
in Chicago, IL and Dallas, TX. One of Rob’s favorite projects to date was featured in Atlanta
Homes & Lifestyles illustrating the versatility of Cottage Concierge’s offerings.
AL BROWN
Al Brown has been in real estate for 50 years. Prior to founding Al Brown Company, Al was Senior
Vice President of Real Estate for Sea Island Acquisitions. He is the all-time career leader in total
sales volume of Sea Island neighborhoods with career sales totaling over $1.61 billion. He was the
listing and selling agent in the largest residential transaction to be closed in Georgia’s history.
A Georgia native and a resident of St. Simons Island for 51 years, Al is a graduate of the
University of Georgia with a degree in real estate. Al and his wife Gayle have two grown
daughters, Anna and Jordan, and a grandson, Parker. They are members of Sea Island Club and
Frederica Golf Club. They attend First Baptist Church of St. Simons Island where Al has taught
Sunday School for 40+ years and plays the drums for musical programs. Al is a nature lover and
an avid bass fisherman.
