St. Mary’s Health Care System
St. Mary’s history of compassionate
care for the people of Northeast Georgia
dates back to 1906. In continuous
operation since 1938 under the
sponsorship of the Sisters of the
Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart
of Jesus and, since 1999, the Sisters of
Mercy of the Americas, St. Mary’s has
been offering high quality healthcare
to the residents of the area for nearly
110 years. St. Mary’s is a not-for-profit
hospital and part of the CHE-Trinity
Health system of care.
St. Mary’s consists of a 197-bed acute
care hospital on Baxter Street; 25-bed
St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital in
Greensboro; home healthcare/hospice
services; an outpatient diagnostic, rehab
and Wellness Center; clinical laboratory;
multiple physician practices in specialties
such as cardiology, neurology, internal
medicine, family medicine, infectious
disease, women’s health and general
surgery; sleep disorders center; wound
care center, and Highland Hills Village
retirement community and memory care
