If you notice that downtown Athens has a new
sparkle, you’re on to something. Visitors have
more options for relaxing on new benches

and seating areas. More trees were planted
to offer greener canopy and shade. Widened
sidewalks are more pedestrian friendly,
and cheery rainbows are connecting

crosswalks. It’s safer too. Parking
spaces are better angled, overhead
corridor lights improve nighttime
vision, and an upgraded drainage

system means everything will
keep flowing downstream.
