of supporting animal rescue and services,
from dogs to donkeys, and cats to cows.
It’s a thrift store that feels like an upscale
boutique but with reasonable prices.
Outdoorsy Types
The retailer Mountain Crossings is
the only place where the Appalachian Trail
passes through a created structure, the
Walasi-Yi Interpretive Center. Built in 1937
by the Civilian Conservation Corps, the
center was completed with the trail and is
where the store is based: selling high quality
hiking gear to get you through an hour on
the trail or for eight months, with foods,
refreshments, and Appalachian Trail gifts.
You’ll find just about everything under
the sun at Alexander’s Store, North
Georgia’s General Store since 1953, which
remains family owned. They offer vibrant
furniture and trendy, classic clothing, as well
as all your hunting and fishing needs.
Antiques
The enormous 12,000 square-foot
Victoria’s Antique Mall has around 60
dealers who bring the finest selection
of antiques right here to Blairsville. Find
furniture, home décor, and something
vintage you know you can’t live without.
Blairsville Pickers Barn is the place
to unearth geodes and taxidermy or find
authentic World War II memorabilia. The
Pickers Barn offers the opportunity to buy
your items if you’re looking to sell.
Musically Inclined
