Garden City Beach is an unincorporated
community in both Horry and Georgetown
counties, ending on a peninsula at the mouth of
Murrells Inlet. The primary housing consists of
            raised beach houses and condominiums.

Garden City Beach’s easy access to the ocean
and inlet makes it “the place to be” for fishing,
crabbing, and water sports. With a fishing pier,
            marina, amusements, restaurants, and other
businesses, this town is a paradise for those
            devoted to the water.

Across the Atlantic Avenue Causeway that
connects the beaches to the mainland, you will
find both new and established single-family
            home neighborhoods, and some multi-family
complexes. A house on the beach can easily
run $1 million or more, but off the beach, prices
            average $250,000-$350,000.
