Adjacent to Ringgold is the Chickamauga and
Chattanooga National Military Park, the nation’s
oldest and largest Civil War park (the Visitor
Center is on the Fort Oglethorpe side).

One of the oldest family-owned amusement
parks in the nation, Lake Winnie, is a summer-
time destination in this North Georgia gateway.
Five thousand people came to the swim and
picnic park on Lake Winnepesaukah Amusement
Park’s opening day on June 1, 1925. In the 98
years since, the park developed into a famed
amusement park with rides and attractions.

Hometown dining and shopping along Nashville
Street attract many to the historic area. Gifts,
brewed coffees, boutiques, cafes, and fine
dining make all of Ringgold a seat of Southern
        hospitality and an antiquing destination.
