How one dog & one woman started it all
Park Pet Supply was established in 1999
after owner Victoria Park needed alternative
solutions for her dog Harley’s skin condition
and severe allergies. At the time, pet
food from a grocery store was the only
option. When Victoria began researching
how nutrition could affect Harley’s health,
she found that holistic food and natural
remedies cleared up his issues. She wanted
to give others in the community the same
life-changing experience, and the rest is
history. For 24 years, Park Pet Supply has
improved the lives of DeKalb area pets by
making holistic foods and natural remedies
available to pet owners.

eSports on the rise
Competitive video gaming offers a range
of career opportunities, just like all other
professional sports. The nonprofit Pharaoh’s
Conclave was founded to give K-16 youth
(particularly minorities) opportunities to
compete, build skills, and prepare for an
eSports career. It may surprise you that eSports
viewership exceeds the NBA Finals, the Super
Bowl, and the World Series COMBINED. Erich,
who co-founded the organization along with
Jakita O. Thomas, is a native of Atlanta and a
graduate of Tuskegee University. He serves as
the Georgia Governor of eSports in the Amateur
Athletic Union. Jakita is a graduate of Spelman
College and earned a Ph.D. in Computer
Science from Georgia Tech. She is also a co-
founder of #blackcomputeHER.
