Oscar nominations, kick-started Georgia’s film

WHITEWATER RAFTING RUSH! The National Wild & Scenic Chattooga River is where
industry, and ignited the sport of whitewater

Today, whitewater enthusiasts can hit at least
four Georgia rivers, casually sliding through
Class I-II rapids or bracing for the wildest rides
on up to Class VI foam.
1 Chattooga River
Georgia whitewater got its start. At least three different
outfitters lead trips along this 26-mile span. Families
like Section 3, with its gentle Class I-III rapids with the
option to run Bull Sluice, a Class IV drop. Section 4 is
serious whitewater for advanced paddlers and rafters,
