WATERFALL HIKES (34°43.38´N 83°49.44´W) is also near
3 Raven Cliff Falls
Helen. This 2.5-mile trail (5-mile round trip)
follows creeks almost the entire hike. Located
in the Raven Creek Wilderness which features
part of the Appalachian Trail, hikers
will hear a roar at mile 2 and can
spot the bottom portion of the falls.
A short distance later, a dramatic split
will appear in the 40-foot-tall rock
cliff with the falls pouring down the
middle. It is well worth the hike. Tent
camping is free along this trail, first
come, first served. Dog friendly. Raven Cliff Falls
