Cyprinella xaenura
The Altamaha Shiner is a hardy minnow that is a grayish white
with dusky olive fins and a blunt snout. The minnow can reach a
maximum length of 4.3 inches and feeds on aquatic and terrestrial
insects in small rivers and tributaries. It is native to the state of
Georgia and is not found anywhere else in the world.
