Community Assistance
                                                                             Center (CAC)
                                                                             An organization that helps neighbors
                                                                             in crisis is the Community Assistance
                                                                             Center (CAC). The CAC began serving
                                                                              the community in the 1980s with
                                                                              clothing and food donations for
                                                                              community members in need, initiated
                                                                              by five local religious organizations.
                                                                               Today, there are four locations and an
                                                                               upscale thrift shop that make possible
                                                                               the humanitarian services, including
                                                                               food pantries, youth programs, adult
                                                                                education, financial assistance, tax
                                                                                preparation, and a new career center,
                                                                                with an ultimate goal of preventing
                                                                                hunger and homelessness. CAC has
                                                                                helped more than 20,000 families in
                                                                                 the area, and in 2021, more than 850
                                                                                 families in the Dunwoody area were
