Brook Run is one of the prominent
parks that hosts festivals throughout
the year. Other parks in Dunwoody
have basketball courts, pickleball
courts, pavilions, and tennis courts.
More parks are in the works, all with
the goal of making Dunwoody a place
where enjoying the outdoors is part of
everyday life.
Dunwoody Nature Center is on
22 acres in the heart of Dunwoody,
with an old growth forest, hiking trails,
Wildcat Creek, an amazing playground
and a diversity of community programs.
The mission of the Dunwoody
Nature Center is to inspire the love of
nature and cultivate environmental
understanding and stewardship.

Back when Dunwoody was
incorporating as a city, two unused
greenhouses and a barn on a defunct
property were reclaimed to establish
edible, organic neighborhood roots.
Dunwoody Community Garden and
Orchard at Brook Run is organized by
volunteers and supported by DeKalb
County and City of Dunwoody. The
garden now hosts 92 member-leased
raised beds plus 40+ raised food
pantry beds dedicated to Saint Patrick
Episcopal’s food bank. dcgo.org
The Brook Run Park Amphitheater Brook Run Park
is a 500-seat venue that hosts a summer
concert series and attracts performing
arts acts from around the region. The
amphitheater can be rented for private

The Marcus Jewish Community
Center of Atlanta is welcoming to
everyone and offers full fitness
facilities, 90+ weekly exercise classes,
day camps, preschools, after-school
programs, cultural events, and youth
and adult sports leagues, including
pickleball, basketball, and softball.
The 52-acre campus features indoor
and outdoor swimming pools, tennis
courts, ball fields, basketball courts,
gymnastics center, plus trails and a Brook Run Park Amphitheater Dunwoody Nature Center
