Homes in Fayette County are a hot
commodity. The housing market is
strong and competitive. Niki Vanderslice,
President and CEO of the Fayette County
Development Authority (FCDA), explained
that it is “demand driven,” and that
increased value means shorter market
time for homes for sale in Fayette. She
said the county is “working to address
housing issues with multifamily growth.”
The average home value in Fayette
County, according to Zillow.com, is just
shy of $478,000. Realtor.com says the
median home price, as of December 2024,
was $550,000.
