ayette County’s five municipalities, from rural to urban, manage economic development
and growth in ways that best serve the diverse and specific needs of each community. In
March, officials from Brooks, Fayetteville, Peachtree City, Tyrone, and Woolsey – joined by
Fneighboring Newnan and Senoia from Coweta County – attended the 2025 Municipal Summit.

Hosted by Peachtree City and held at
City Hall, the event featured speakers
from the Atlanta Regional Airport
(Falcon Field), Georgia Department
of Transportation (GDOT), Southern
Conservation Trust, and the U.S.
Soccer Federation. Presentations and
discussions covered topics including
economic opportunities, environmental
initiatives, and infrastructure, among
others. Designed to foster collaboration,
dialogue, and to strengthen regional
government partnerships, the Summit
also had a “report-out session,” where
leaders shared initiatives and updates
from their respective municipalities.
Held annually, the Municipal Summit
helps keep the cities and towns of
Fayette County connected.
