Unlike larger amphitheaters in other metro
Atlanta communities, Tyrone chose an
approach right for their town.
“We feel like Tyrone, as a small town,
didn’t need something on that scale,”
Trocquet said. The multi-use “passive
park” is a better fit. Trocquet said the
space will include an integrated PA,
power for bands, “and a louvered backing
which allows sound reflectivity.”
Tyrone has a standing, quarterly
meeting with the community outreach/
pre-construction team at Microsoft.
The tech giant is completing projects
in Palmetto and Fairburn. According to
Trocquet, Microsoft’s planned data center
in Tyrone is still an “active project” that is
simply a matter of time.

projects, Tyrone will embark upon the

The Fayette County Development
Authority (FCDA) and Tyrone’s Downtown
Development Authority (DDA) worked
together on the “purpose built” concept
that would replace the old Station Three
building. The FCDA awarded matching
grant funds to the DDA for this project.
High on the cool factor, Tyrone’s

stages! With room for up to six food
trucks, Trocquet noted it will be the only
one in Fayette County. It will feature
“shore power,” which means no
generators needed.
Tyrone anticipates always having two

spaces during big events. The concept
plan shows seating areas, restrooms, a
lawn area (artificial turf which means no
mud, according to Trocquet), fencing, and
