Muh talked about the top needs the
report revealed.
“Number one is having access to
affordable healthcare,” said Muh.
Reducing cancer and deaths from the
disease ranked second. Third on the list is
treating and reducing deaths from chronic
diseases including stroke, diabetes, and
heart disease. Fourth is mental health and
reducing poor outcomes related to it.
Another large employer that Piedmont
Fayette serves is the Fayette County
Government. Piedmont Fayette, Fayette
County, and insurance provider Cigna
partnered to place a Piedmont R.N.
(Registered Nurse) on staff at the county
office, serving employees for about five
years now.
Muh called it an “incredible partnership”
that brings education, preventative care,
and more to hundreds of Fayette County
employees. Together, the hospital and
Fayette Government host healthcare-
focused events.
