More Jackson County Area Fun!

Close to Jackson County, you have
baseball. The Gwinnett Stripers, founded in
2009, are a Minor League Baseball team of the
International League and the Triple-A affiliate
of the Atlanta Braves. They play their home
games at Coolray Field in unincorporated
Gwinnett County. Fun fact: They are named
for striped bass here in the region!
At Funopolis Family Fun Center, enjoy arcade
games, bumper boats and cars, Go Karts, an
escape room, laser tag, mini bowling, and
more. Corporate events, birthday parties,
church groups, and others are welcome for
any special occasion.
If you prefer a quieter adventure, enjoy
family fishing and other outdoor recreation
activities including running trails, obstacle
course, and disc golf at Crow’s Lake Catfish Farm.
For golfers, Traditions Golf and Country Club in
Jefferson offers 18 holes of great golf, dining,
practice facilities, tournament planning,
and more. Traditions of Braselton offers fun
for everyone, including golf instruction,
leagues and tournaments, as well as a variety
of member events from holiday brunches
and dining traditions to golf clinics and kids’
events. Traditions of Braselton Golf Club is
part of the ClubCorp family.
Chicopee Woods Golf Course, convenient
to North Atlanta, Jackson County and
surrounding counties, is only one mile from
I-985 in the rolling foothills of the North
Georgia Mountains. This beautiful course
in Gainesville is home to 27 holes. Home to
GA PGA sectional and state tournaments,
including a past Georgia Public Links
Championship, it is a true way to test your
golfing ability. Unlike country club courses,
Chicopee Woods is a public pay course built
with no homes on the course. The 27 holes
are divided into 3 nines named after the
original Chicopee community. While all three
are blended to make a great round no matter
which nines are played, they each have a
distinct feel.
Chemistry Athletics in Commerce offers
tumbling and cheer classes and works with
middle school and high school teams.
Disabled post-9/11 military veterans are
taken free of charge to enjoy carefree and
fun days with vehicle and transportation
provided. American Veterans Transit registers
veterans for trips to vineyards, tailgating UGA
style, ladies’ trips, and golf course getaways.
