The unincorporated community of Vale is about 15 minutes northwest
of Lincolnton and is nearly all rural. Farming is the primary industry,
including vineyards and wineries. Parts of Vale extend into Catawba

        Crouse and Iron Station
These unincorporated bedroom communities have a small-town vibe.
Antique shops await and the outdoors calls. Fishing and boating
on Lake Norman are always popular, as well as hiking the trails and
relaxing in the parks. Festivals and other events are nearby.

        Lowesville
Unincorporated Lowesville has experienced population growth of
119% since 2000, which is not surprising given the community’s
location along the shores of Lake Norman and proximity to Charlotte.
Living in Lowesville offers residents a suburban-rural mix feel. Most
residents own their homes, and many of those homes have been
        built since 2000.
