No surprise that Ford was enterprising. His
trade school taught high school boys ornamental
iron work, machine shop forging, welding,
printing, mechanical and architectural
drawing, brass foundry and carpentry.
STOP Ford Administrative Office
26 230 Greenwich Drive
This small office was the hub of Henry Ford’s
operations, housing key personnel such as the
superintendent, office manager, bookkeeper, and
the telephone switchboard operator. Although
Ford didn’t have a personal office in Richmond
Hill, he frequently visited, engaging with locals
to understand their lives and encourage their
personal growth, creating an atmosphere of
support and empowerment beyond just business.
This is a private residence.

Ford Firehouse
STOP
27 10425 Ford Avenue
The Ford Firehouse, originally strategically
positioned next to the main office, sawmill, and
trade school, housed a fire truck and ambulance,
ready for emergencies. After the Ford era, it was
relocated and repurposed into a residence, later
becoming a commercial space, still retaining
its original features like the fireman’s pole and
historic wooden walls.
