Congratulations to
Dr. Rodgers’ first year
as president!
It is an exciting year at Wilkes Community College. We
are amid accreditation reaffirmation with the Southern
Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on
Colleges (SACSCOC) and look forward to their site visit this
September. WCC is creating an Enrollment Management
Plan slated for launch in the 2025-26 Academic Year. We
started a Flex-Path Medical Assisting program option
and will launch a Heavy Equipment Operator program in Dr. Michael Rodgers, President
August to better serve the adult learner through innovative Wilkes Community College
scheduling and additional programming leading to higher-
wage, high-demand fields. Dental Hygiene is another new program slated to start
in August. WCC is excited about the opportunities that are ahead of us and are
proud to maintain a student-centered approach to serving Wilkes, Ashe, and
Alleghany counties.
