Landmark Hospital of Athens, the area’s
only long-term acute care hospital
(LTACH), opened in 2008 to serve the
Northeast Georgia community. The facility
includes 42 private rooms that are all
intensive care unit (ICU) capable.

Landmark Hospital is a regional referral
center for North Georgia, serving as the
place for other hospitals to send critically
ill patients who need long-term acute
