                                  CANNON’S POINT PRESERVE
                                  Protected by the St. Simons Land Trust,

                                  this 644 acres includes an old fish camp,
             Cannon’s Point       dirt roads and trails along a saltwater creek
                  Preserve
                                  and marshes. There are also a pavilion and
                                  learning center, a non-motorized boat
                                  launch, and the ruins of a circa-1800s

                                  plantation home.

                                  Witness the power of nature on the north end
                                  of Jekyll Island, where centuries of erosion
            Little St. Simons
                    Island        have left a starkly beautiful stand of petrified
                                  oak trees emerging from the sand overlooking
                                  the St. Simons Sound and the Atlantic Ocean.

                                  It is a favorite spot for local photographers
          Hofwyl Broadfield       and was even featured in episodes of The
            Plantation State
               Historic Site      Walking Dead television program.
