DRIFTWOOD BEACH
Witness the power of nature on the north end
of Jekyll Island, where centuries of erosion
Little St. Simons
Island have left a starkly beautiful stand of petrified
oak trees emerging from the sand overlooking
the St. Simons Sound and the Atlantic Ocean.
It is a favorite spot for local photographers
Hofwyl Broadfield and was even featured in episodes of The
Plantation State
Historic Site Walking Dead television program.
