           One of the more famous dairies in the nation prospered in DeKalb County for 80 years. Mathis Dairy began when
           a young R.L. Mathis purchased 12 cows and 75 acres of property in 1916. The dairy upheld rigorous Certified Milk
                          standards, and in the 1970s was one of only three dairies in the country doing so.




                 erhaps you milked Rosebud, the beloved mascot      Doraville got put onto the map in 1945, 100 years
                 cow that was succeeded by the next Rosebud   after the Georgia Railroad was laid down. From trains to
