mural at Pinetree Plaza on Buford
Highway (right) that celebrates the
diversity of the city through images

serving global cuisines.
MAYOR
JOSEPH GEIERMAN
City of Doraville
At 150 years old, Doraville is one
of DeKalb County’s oldest cities.
In many ways, our city’s story has
mirrored that of the county as a whole.
Our diversity makes DeKalb County
strong – and I would like to see us
build on those strengths over the next
hundred years by becoming an even
more welcoming place for people all
over the world. I would also like to
see our schools become world-class
magnets for learning. Finally, I hope to
see us continue to grow exciting new
industries – like film and entertainment
– to continue building on our county’s
economic strengths.
