The Mall at Stonecrest opened in October 2001, 15 years prior to the
incorporation of the City of Stonecrest in 2016. The Arabia Mountain PATH,
a 30+ mile paved recreational trail, connects residents of Stonecrest to the
mall and to the Davidson-Arabia Mountain Nature Preserve.

that inspire life-long memories.

To reflect upon the fact that my grandparents lived almost
one hundred years ago and that my grandchildren may

live one hundred years from now fills me with a sense of
wonder and awe at God’s grand design. I would want Dekalb
County to be a thriving community one hundred years
from now, with an abundance of economic opportunities and
boasting one of the best education systems in the state.
I want us to have social and cultural parity. I want this for
my grandchildren and their children so that they can have
a bright future in a place they can call home. I believe that
this is certainly achievable if we can imagine the future and

work backward to put all the necessary steps in place to
achieve our objectives.
