           Dunwoody’s 4th of July
             Parade is the largest
              Independence Day
           Parade in the entire state,

               RECREATION

Dunwoody is a city where active and QUALITY OF LIFE
healthy lifestyles can flourish. With seven
major parks totaling more than 170 acres
of greenspace and 221 days of sunshine
on average each year, Dunwoody invites
residents and visitors to get up and get out
      to explore!
In 2017, the City examined existing
      recreational facilities, programs, services,
      conducted a comprehensive community
input process, and determined the current
and future parks and recreation service
levels for the community in its Parks
& Recreation Master Plan Update. The
      information collected provided guidance
on key needs and priorities to help the
      City make decisions regarding current
and future parks, recreation, and trails.
As a result, exciting things are on the
horizon with updates at Brook Run Park,
new amenities at Windwood Hollow Park,
      preservation improvements at the historic
      Donaldson-Bannister Farm, a new pavilion
