PCIDS:

                Transforming the Perimeter

               Communities in Georgia have
            embraced the concept of Community
            Improvement Districts as a mechanism
            for property owners to promote
            economic growth by addressing
problems endemic to urban areas, such
as traffic and unsightly vistas. Dunwoody
is no stranger to this concept, benefitting
       BUSINESS Community Improvement Districts
from the efforts of the Perimeter
(PCIDs), two of the 27 Community
            Improvement Districts (CIDs) in Georgia.
               CIDs use self-imposed tax revenues
            from commercial businesses within
            their districts to accelerate needed
            transportation, infrastructure, and
            beautification improvement projects.
