Ramsour’s Mill Battle Weekend is held every June to commemorate
this important Revolutionary War battle. Hearth cooking demonstrations,
weapons demonstrations, tours, and of course the reenactment make
this two-day event a must-do for everyone.
The Lincolnton Food, Wine & Brew Fest comes to town every
September. The event is free, but a Tasting Pass ($25) is required
if you want to sample all the great beverages. Food trucks and
representatives of North Carolina’s wineries and craft brewers make
this gastronomic experience out of this world.
More than 80,000 people gather in downtown Lincolnton each
October for the Lincoln County Apple Festival. Local apple growers, a
farmers’ market, local musicians, more than 250 vendors, and the pies
mean you won’t leave hungry or without bags of goodies to take home.

Outdoors
Want to get outdoors? The Parks & Recreation departments of
Lincolnton and Lincoln County ensure there are plenty of places
to play. Lincolnton has five city parks, including the Betty G. Ross
Recreation Park which has a nature trail, playground and swimming
pool. First Federal Park includes an area for musical performances and
small events and sits along the South Fork Rail Trail, a greenway that
is part of the Carolina Thread Trail.

As the largest manmade body of fresh water in North Carolina, Lake
Norman may be considered the crown jewel of Lincoln County
recreation, offering 520 miles of shoreline and a surface area of more
than 50 square miles. Created for electric power generation, the lake
offers boating, fishing, swimming and waterskiing. Anglers can go for
both striped and largemouth bass.
