EDUCATION



          Gaston College is the only community college in North Carolina
        with a Textile Technology Center and program. The Fiber Innovation
        Center at Gaston College’s Kimbrell campus is a world-class facility
        focused on the future of the textile industry (see feature story on
        page 32). Part of the North Carolina Community College System,
        Gaston College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges
        and Schools to award associate degrees.
          • In all campuses in 2024: Nearly 7,500 students took
            curriculum courses. More than 10,000 students took
            continuing education classes.
