Come to Villa Rica and be Amazed!
Only 35 minutes from Atlanta, Villa Rica is an amazing place, brimming with history,
authentic early 1900s architecture, local shops and eateries, and entertainment. Stroll
along our historic downtown sidewalks lined with crepe myrtles. Stop to appreciate the
architecture of Wick’s Tavern, West Georgia’s oldest commercial structure. Experience
the feel of an old mercantile. Choose from a variety of shops and restaurants filled with
treasures and tastes you can find only here.
Speaking of treasures, panning for gold isn’t just an Old West pastime. Visitors today
can pan for gold and gems at the Pine Mountain Gold Museum right here in Villa Rica,
site of the first Gold Strike in the United States.
Outdoorsy types will strike it rich in Villa Rica with its many trails, parks and lake
fishing. And everyone is invited to pack a picnic and bring a blanket to The MILL
amphitheater for an evening of toe-tapping music by local and regional bands.
Explore Villa Rica’s history through our native sons and
