Downtown District

          Uncover treasures in our museums,
            antique shops and art galleries.

Antiques and boutiques. Art and architecture.
Books and beverages. Fine dining or downhome
Southern eateries – you will find it all in
Camden’s downtown district.
Expanded north of York Street in the 1800s in a
marshy area once called the Big Ditch, Downtown
Camden is home to a bustling commercial district
extending to Walnut Street.
Anchored by architecturally significant buildings, the
heart of the district is the King Haiglar Clock Tower at
Broad and Rutledge Streets, the Fine Arts Center of
Kershaw County on Lyttleton Street and the Robert
Mills-designed Bethesda Presbyterian Church on
DeKalb Street.
