• CAPTIVATING HIKING TRAILS • Go to Macon to enjoy this 13-mile trail. Walk along the
Ocmulgee Heritage Trail
(32.844243, -83.625464)
banks of the Ocmulgee River and take in the scenic views.
You’ll walk through Jackson Springs Park, Spring Street
Landing, and over the Otis Redding Bridge. The Walnut
Creek connection takes you into the Ocmulgee Mounds
National Historical Park. Several miles of the trail are cement,
but there are natural surfaces as well. Start in downtown
Macon and wind through neighborhoods. You’ll also see the
Riverside and Rose Hill cemeteries, final resting places of
many notables.
