Recreation
From biking through the city, taking
a stroll through the park or trying a
completely new activity, Dunwoody is
beckoning residents to get up and get out
to explore the great outdoors.
With more than 221 days
of sunshine a year and
plenty of greenspace
dispersed throughout
the cityscape, there is
no excuse not to enjoy the
fresh air in Dunwoody.
Bicycling is a great way to explore the
city. The bike-friendly nature of Dunwoody
can be seen in the Jim Benson Bike Trail, an
eight-mile marked bicycle trail that winds
its way through the city and is Dunwoody’s
first official bike route. Cyclists can enjoy
the sport by themselves or get involved
with a community bike group.
Brook Run Park, consisting of 102 acres
and the region’s largest park, is another
great way to stay active and enjoy the
outdoors. With an enormous playground
for children, a two-mile trail loop for walkers
